Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education, University of Bedfordshire, 2010

GP Sneha Wadhwani
“Primary Health Care has helped both my career and my family prosper.”

"Hello. I'm Sneha Wadhwani.

"Life working in the NHS in the UK meant constant juggling between my children, husband and my job. My kids saw relatively little of me and what they did see was a very tired, overworked and undernourished version of me.

"My work was getting the best of me and my family was getting the leftovers.

"So I started looking at my options and Australia it was! I needed to work in the city due to my husband's job in media and Primary offered me a DWS exemption under academic terms which allowed me to do this. So I started my Primary journey in 2015.

"Before Primary, I have worked in paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, accident and emergency and urogynaecology. It is great because at Primary I have still been able to pursue those interests. One of my proudest achievements is having opened a private women's health clinic in my centre.

"With Primary, I've enjoyed the flexibility and the ability to diversify, to pursue my interest in women's health, to work within defined hours and also have the time for other personal interests including yoga, cooking and travelling.

"I have been able to accomplish so much, all while being able to be present for my children at school pick up and most weekends.

"I look forward to speaking to you about how Primary Health Care has helped me fulfil my ambitions and perhaps, yours as well."

Royal College of General Practitioners, 2015

Amanda works at Primary's Moonee Ponds Medical Centre, VIC Australia.

Doctor Amanda Sadek
“The flexibility that primary offers has allowed me to fulfil my passion for exploring Australia.”

"Hello. I'm Amanda Sadek.

"Since completing GP training in the UK I have held various positions including a salaried, locum and portfolio GP.

"Over the course of my career I have developed a particular interest in family planning/sexual and reproductive health, and have worked in a sexual health clinic in the UK. Teaching is another keen interest of mine, and I have pursued this by working for Compass Reach, where I held training sessions for mental health nurses. I have also had an active role at the University of Leeds in screening and interviewing medical school applicants.

"I now practice in Australia with Primary, who have sponsored my 457 Visa. I chose Primary as I was drawn to the set-up of their clinics. The availability of on-site pathology and radiology allows me to provide more holistic care to my patients.

"Working at my centre has been highly rewarding. I've enjoyed developing friendships within the team, and the centre is well-equipped and offers a safe environment for patients. I have also been able to continue my personal development by taking part in clinical work including minor surgery and coil insertions.

"The rota flexibility that Primary offers has allowed me to explore my passion for travelling across Australia. I have also had time to pursue my other hobbies such as rock climbing. Cycling has also become a recent interest and a part of my daily commute to work.

"I look forward to speaking to you about how Primary Health Care has helped me fulfil my ambitions and perhaps, yours as well."

DPD: Cardiff University 2011, FRACGP, 2012

Palmyra works at Primary's Narregate Medical Centre, VIC Australia.

Dr Palmyra DeBanks
“From the start, primary has been willing to work with me to fulfil my ambitions.”

"Hello. I'm Palmyra DeBanks.

"Upon emigrating to Australia in 2012, I practiced in a 24 hour clinic. After 3 months in the clinic, unhappy with its standards, I decided to part ways and began my Primary journey at Narregate Medical Centre.

"From the start Primary has been willing to work with me. Primary has encouraged me to practice at times that suit a working mother and enabled me to start a part-time Masters at Melbourne University.

"At Primary I receive support from administration, head office and by my peers. Practicing in a large centre with over 20 doctors, registrars and students, we work together using each other's specialities and learn from each other.

"Primary also encourages growth. In 2015 I was appointed Lead Independent Doctor at Narregate and since 2017, Regional Clinical Officer of Victoria. In terms of clinical growth, Primary have supported my special interests in women's health, paediatrics and mental health and now my Masters in Health Care and Medical Law. The online learning material provided by Primary Health Care Institute has been particularly helpful.

"When I'm not in the centre, you can find me watching sport, dining out and exploring Australia's natural beauty.

"I look forward to speaking to you about how Primary Health Care has helped me fulfil my ambitions and perhaps, yours as well."

Paul works at Primary's Norwood Medical and Dental Centre, SA Australia.

Dr Paul Dalrymple
“I love the flexibility and the autonomy primary gives me.”

"Hello. I'm Paul Dalrymple.

"In my GP career thus far I've found myself practicing around the globe and completing internships in a range of fields of study. In 1987 I joined the British Army as a Medical Cadet.

"After qualifying as a doctor, alongside being a GP Trainer, I have completed senior roles in a range of specialties including obstetrics, ENT and ophthalmology. My operational service saw me complete tours of duty in the army and a 3 year Loan Service, working for the Sultan of Brunei.

"After retiring as Colonel from the British Army, I moved to Australia. Here I worked as a GP, in ED and as Senior Medical Officer for the Australian Defence Force. I then joined Primary in 2016.

"I've enjoyed working with Primary for so many reasons. My centre has a great location, excellent administrative support and a collegiate atmosphere.

"Primary provides a great corporate environment, an excellent approach to CPD and handling of income, and offers great incentives to achieve.

"I am also pleased that I have been able to continue training young GPs as well as pursuing my other interests which include paediatrics, chronic disease management and skin cancer medicine.

"I also still have time for personal interests like fitness and cycling along with a healthy passion for German automobiles.

"I look forward to speaking to you about how Primary Health Care has helped me fulfil my ambitions and perhaps, yours as well."
